This is really helpful! I wish I had a digital camera that would work with this, but alas, my camera is crap >.> I have to use my photography book one of these days to figure it out for my 35mm.

Great tutorial, I'm sure it'll help alot of people who might want to venture into the IR world.

+fav (so I remember this tutorial)

If I ever get around to buying one of those filters, I'll give this a shot. Even though I have a 20D I think I can figure out how to work it.

The only critique I have would be to make the photoshop dialogue boxes larger so that we can read the numbers a bit better :).

This is great! One thing though - is it black and white infrared or color infrared?

Also - do you have any additional advice for focusing the shot when there's a filter on a regular film camera with regular film? Or just what you said?
:iconstratys:
You can see in the examples that it's color IR ;)

I guess with film you can use the mark that every prime lens has... otherwise I don't know how to focus
:iconshatteredsmile:
Ohh ok, I thought so, it was never specified so I thought I'd ask. :) Good tutorial and thanks for the tip!

Great long-awaited tutorial! I might opt to try this with my SLR, even though I find IR photography to be much easier with a non-SLR camera, example: Fuji S7000
