This is really helpful! I wish I had a digital camera that would work with this, but alas, my camera is crap >.> I have to use my photography book one of these days to figure it out for my 35mm.

If I ever get around to buying one of those filters, I'll give this a shot. Even though I have a 20D I think I can figure out how to work it.
The only critique I have would be to make the photoshop dialogue boxes larger so that we can read the numbers a bit better .

This is great! One thing though - is it black and white infrared or color infrared?
Also - do you have any additional advice for focusing the shot when there's a filter on a regular film camera with regular film? Or just what you said?
Great long-awaited tutorial! I might opt to try this with my SLR, even though I find IR photography to be much easier with a non-SLR camera, example: Fuji S7000

I guess with film you can use the mark that every prime lens has... otherwise I don't know how to focus
